Special Session with Mr. Jimmy Pham – Pioneer of Social Enterprise in Vietnam
Mr. Jimmy Pham is the Founder of KOTO (Know One, Teach One), Vietnam’s first social enterprise. For over 25 years, KOTO has delivered a comprehensive 24-month hospitality training program free of charge to more than 1,700 disadvantaged youths, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in the hospitality and tourism industries worldwide.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Pham has received numerous prestigious international accolades, including Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (2011), the Medal of the Order of Australia (AM, 2013), as well as honors such as the POSCO TJ Park Prize, Waislitz Global Community Award, and Advance Awards Asia Impact.
Beyond KOTO, he is also the Co-Founder of VietHarvest, a social enterprise dedicated to addressing food waste and strengthening food security in Vietnam. He has held several significant leadership roles, including Vice President of AusCham, member of the CSIP Advisory Board, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from RMIT University.
His story has been featured by CNN, BBC, and The New York Times, inspiring a global audience about the transformative power of social enterprises in changing lives and communities.
