More than 20 years in finance and banking have taken him through a range of leadership roles at Vietcombank, Sabeco Fund Management, IPA Investment, Vincom, VNDirect Securities, and notably as CEO of VietABank, followed by ABBank, at just 34 years old.
Yet his most significant experience extends beyond executive titles. Over many years, he has directly built and led organizations with workforces of thousands of employees, where leadership was not simply about making decisions, but also about motivating people, developing capabilities, and aligning teams around a shared purpose.
Alongside his corporate career, he has dedicated considerable time to training and coaching. More than 120 “Life Coaching – Giá Trị Cuộc Sống” programs, over 10,000 participants, and specialized courses such as “Leadership In Action” have brought him close to the challenges managers regularly face: how to develop people, encourage ownership, and build teams that can adapt to change.
This perspective is especially relevant to hospitality, an industry where service quality depends directly on people. Guests may not see the strategy behind a hotel, but they clearly experience how teams communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and create memorable moments.
As Chairman of the Board of Management at SVF, together with his experience in mentoring and supporting generations of young entrepreneurs, Pham Duy Hieu also brings a perspective on innovation through the lens of organizations and people.
