Wellness is becoming an increasingly important part of the hospitality and tourism experience. However, its rapid growth is also raising important questions around service standards, workforce quality, sustainability, and stronger connections between markets across the region.
With more than 45 years of experience in hospitality, including 30 years dedicated to spa and wellness operations and consultancy, Andrew Jacka will bring to HORECFEX VIETNAM 2026 a perspective shaped by decades of involvement in the development of the industry across Asia-Pacific.
Rather than focusing only on an individual spa or a single business model, Andrew views wellness as an ecosystem that requires collaboration among hotels, therapists, training institutions, industry associations, destinations, and product developers. When these elements are effectively connected, wellness can deliver more consistent quality, trusted experiences, and long-term value for businesses.
His belief in knowledge sharing has led him to take on a number of important leadership and advisory roles. He previously served as President of the Thai Spa Association, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the World Spa & Wellbeing Convention, a judge for the AsiaSpa Awards, and Thailand Ambassador for Global Wellness Day.
Today, he continues to serve as Chairman of the Asia Pacific Spa and Wellness Coalition, while also contributing to several international organisations focused on hydrotherapy, climatotherapy, and health tourism.
His contributions to the industry have been recognised through the Thailand Spa & Well-being Awards Hall of Fame, the Global Contributor to the Industry honour at the Hall of Wellness Awards 2020, and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the APSWC Awards 2023.
