In 2024, Danang welcomed more than 10.9 million visitors, including approximately 4.1 million international arrivals – a sharp increase of 36.3% compared to the previous year. Entering Q1 of 2025, the city recorded over 2.537 million overnight stays, a growth of 19.2%, with international tourists alone growing by an impressive 42.1%. These numbers highlight Danang’s rising appeal on the regional and international tourism map.
This strong visitor growth goes hand in hand with a positive revenue outlook: accommodation and food services in Q1/2025 reached VND 7,393 billion (approx. USD 296 million), up 21.1%; the travel services sector also rose by 20%. These results form a solid foundation for Danang to elevate high-quality tourism segments, especially MICE.
MICE – a strategic growth pillar for sustainable tourism
With its strategic vision of becoming Vietnam’s and Southeast Asia’s MICE hub, Danang continues to see rising demand from international MICE groups. In the first four months of 2024 alone, the city hosted 42 MICE delegations with more than 12,600 visitors, including 29 international groups from key markets such as India, Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Numerous large-scale and high-profile events have chosen Danang as their destination: the international RF Summer Jam 2024 Hip-Hop Festival welcomed 4,400 multicultural guests, while corporate groups like Corteva Agriscience, Syngenta FPT, JAC, and CREDAI India further energized the MICE scene. More than a destination, Da Nang has become a place where conferences, networking, and cultural exploration come together in a distinctive, memorable way.
The city government also strongly supports MICE organizers through attractive incentives: from site inspections and event communications to exclusive gifts and professional consultation services, particularly for delegations of 500 guests or more.

Boasting over 250 four- and five-star hotels and 16 international flight routes with 52 daily flights, Danang continues to expand its global connectivity. In 2025, the city is expected to welcome over 6.68 million international arrivals via Danang International Airport – further cementing its role as a gateway for trade and tourism in the region.
