Da Nang welcomed 2.23 million visitors in July 2026, highlighting strong growth across tourism, hospitality and the city's expanding event economy.

Da Nang recorded another strong month for tourism in July 2026. Accommodation establishments across the city served approximately 2.23 million visitors, up 12.2% from the previous month and 29.9% year-on-year.

Beyond visitor growth, changes in international markets, air connectivity and the event economy are creating new opportunities for hotels, restaurants, F&B businesses and hospitality technology providers in Da Nang.

International Arrivals Continue Strong Growth

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, international guests staying in the city reached approximately 852,600 in July 2026, accounting for more than 38% of total guests. This represented a 25.3% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

Domestic guests reached approximately 1.38 million, up 33% year-on-year.

International Events attracts a huge amount of tourists

These figures demonstrate Da Nang's ability to maintain strong demand from both domestic and international markets during the peak summer season.

South Korea remained Da Nang's largest international source market, accounting for 18.63% of international visitors, followed by China at 11.23%.

The United States, Australia, Taiwan, Russia, India, Japan, the Philippines and the United Kingdom also continued to contribute stable visitor volumes. Northeast Asian markets alone represented nearly 40% of international arrivals during the month.

More Than 12 Million Visitors in the First Seven Months

During the first seven months of 2026, accommodation establishments in Da Nang served approximately 12.11 million visitors, an increase of 24.8% year-on-year.

Key figures included:

  • More than 6 million international visitors, up 28.1%.
  • Approximately 6.1 million domestic visitors, up 21.7%.
  • Nearly 5.98 million overnight international guests.
  • An average international visitor stay of approximately 1.9 days per trip.

Danang Enjoy Festival 2026

The growth represents more than increasing visitor numbers. It also translates into greater demand for accommodation, dining, transportation, entertainment and destination experiences.

The Event Economy Becomes a Key Tourism Driver

Major events played an important role in supporting Da Nang's tourism performance during July.

One of the biggest drivers was the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2026, which generated more than 2.72 million accommodation stays throughout the festival period.

During the DIFF final, hotel occupancy in several central and coastal areas of Da Nang reached approximately 95-98%.

Vietnam - Japan Festival 2026 organized in Danang, Vietnam

The Vietnam-Japan Festival 2026 and Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2026 also contributed to tourism demand throughout the peak summer period.

By combining beaches, resorts, culture, gastronomy, entertainment and international events, Da Nang is strengthening its position as a year-round destination rather than relying solely on traditional tourism seasons.

New Opportunities for Vietnam's Hospitality Industry

Rapid tourism growth is also creating new expectations for hospitality businesses.

Hotels need to improve operational efficiency and revenue management. Restaurants must adapt to increasingly diverse international customer segments. Meanwhile, AI, customer data, automation and technologies designed to enhance the guest experience are becoming increasingly important.

These developments are also at the heart of HORECFEX Vietnam 2026, taking place on 20-21 August 2026 in Da Nang.

As tourism continues to expand, the key question for the hospitality industry is no longer simply how to attract more visitors.

It is also about how to serve them better, encourage longer stays and generate greater value from every journey.

This presents a significant opportunity for hotels, F&B businesses and technology providers to work together in shaping the next chapter of Vietnam's hospitality industry.
