Born in Vietnam, Chef An moved to France with his family at the age of six. Though his father had been a school principal in Hue, he had to start over and worked at a Chinese restaurant owned by a family friend. Young An studied in French schools but was deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.
By 13, he began learning to cook Cantonese dishes at the restaurant, and at 17, enrolled at Auguste Escoffier culinary school, quickly earning a reputation as an excellent and inquisitive student. The fusion of Chinese, Vietnamese, and French influences shaped his unique culinary style.
After graduation, Chef An worked at top luxury resorts across Asia, from New Caledonia to St. Maarten. In 2008, he returned to Vietnam and, after years of success in leading kitchens, opened The Temptation in Danang in 2018.
To Chef An, cuisine is a form of art. The Temptation is his canvas—where exotic flavors, cultural richness, and culinary finesse come together. His dishes are crafted not just to please the palate, but to touch the soul.
