Nguyen Lam Giang holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and brings over 25 years of experience in the development sector, including 15 years in private sector development, sustainable livelihoods, and market systems. She served as Country Director for Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation for seven years before co-founding and directing CRED Tourism and Agriculture Solution Consulting Company Limited in 2017. Her work spans diverse regions of Vietnam — from the Northern mountains to the Mekong Delta — as well as Laos and Myanmar.
Giang has partnered with major donors including those from Switzerland, Australia, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, the European Union, and the World Bank. Her core expertise includes leadership and strategic project management, responsible and sustainable rural development, value chain development, and public-private partnerships. She is highly skilled in community-based tourism and destination development, and in advancing fair trade, organic, and non-timber forest product (NTFP) value chains.
In senior management roles, Giang has demonstrated strong capacity in gender mainstreaming, social inclusion, and the empowerment of vulnerable and ethnic minority communities. She possesses deep knowledge of Vietnamese government systems and excels in participatory, decentralized approaches and cross-sector coordination, ensuring that all project design and implementation align with both donor requirements and national regulations.
