On the evening of November 4th (local time), Vietnam’s National Authority of Tourism launched a groundbreaking Tourism Promotion Program in Washington D.C., marking the first stop in a series of major promotional activities in the U.S. aimed at strengthening tourism cooperation, boosting two-way visitor exchange, and expanding B2B connectivity between businesses of the two nations.
B2B CONNECTIVITY: THE KEY TO UNLOCKING THE U.S. MARKET
The event saw the participation of 18 leading Vietnamese tourism, hotel, and airline businesses. The B2B sessions were vibrant, connecting directly with hundreds of U.S. travel agencies, associations, airlines, and media outlets.
- Market Attractiveness: Many U.S. partners expressed high interest, appreciating the potential and the high spending capacity of U.S. travelers (with an average stay of up to 12 days), affirming Vietnam as a strategic destination for tourism GDP growth.
- Product Strategy: The program focused on introducing high-quality tourism offerings popular in the North American market, including: Coastal Resort Tourism, Golf Tourism, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Tourism, and Wellness & Culinary Tourism.
TOURISM AS A STRATEGIC BRIDGE
The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hoa Mai, highlighted the message “Vietnam – A World of Unique, Superior Experiences,” asserting that Tourism acts as a crucial bridge in the Vietnam-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
H.E. Nguyễn Quốc Dũng, the Vietnamese Ambassador to the U.S., also reaffirmed that the bilateral relationship is thriving, providing a solid foundation to expand tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
The promotion program will continue in New York (Nov 6th) and Boston (Nov 10th), opening up new cooperation opportunities and contributing to the consolidation of mutual understanding and the growth of Vietnam’s Tourism industry.
